A Cup of Joy

Joy is the constant, never-changing knowing that no matter the circumstances we are in, there is a hope we can hold onto that will never change or leave us.

I think most of us rely on happiness as the gauge of whether life is good or not, but the reality is, if you are a believer, Jesus never promised a life without challenges, but He did promise to be with us through all our troubles.

During a storm, so many times I said, "It's unfair. This sucks." I felt like, how could I feel this way, like I didn't have faith, but I am reminded as well that God cares about our feelings. Just don't ever forget that even in the valleys we find ourselves in, He is there, even if it doesn't feel like it.

 And if you are in a season of hopelessness, darling, the sun will rise again. Never forget that God cares about the matters of your heart.

He is with you and He loves you.
