Immanuel, God with us. In this season, may we remember that it is not when Jesus was born that matters most, but why. He came in the humblest way, born in a manger, so He could relate to everyone and so that anyone could come to Him. He came to ultimately become the sacrifice for our sins. What a precious, priceless gift.
The Savior of the world chose humility. He chose closeness. He chose love. He stepped into our brokenness so we would never have to walk through life alone. His birth reminds us of hope when life feels heavy, peace when our hearts feel overwhelmed, and love that never fails. May this season draw us closer to Him, to His presence, to His grace, and to the truth that God is still with us today, tomorrow, and always.
They will call Him Immanuel. ~ Matthew 1:23
